Being human

Being human

An autistic view

People should never be described as normal thus we need to reject the projection of neuronormativity. There is no right set of ways to cognitively behave, think or feel.

Society should not be expected to be held to these standards. We need to embrace our differences. A so called normal creates a superior way for people to be, leaving all those that don't conform to be considered as having deficits.

Life is all about what we came to learn, experience, and understand. It is not the details of how we have gone about something that is important, but rather what our choices and attitudes were while making those decisions.

Self awareness is essential as it enables us to understand ourselves and place in the world. When we know ourselves we can also better see people for who they really are, thus self awareness gives us the insight to see reality and the ability to make better choices in life.

I have always known I was different and have spent my life feeling like I was dropped off on the wrong planet. Being diagnosed as autistic in November 2022 made my whole life make sense, and helped me better understand myself and how I see the world around.

I've had a lifelong interest in life purpose, psychology, self discovery, spirituality, and music. Being me is about my place in the world, how I connect with myself, the universal consciousness and the interconnectedness between all these things.

I believe we are all responsible to leave the earth in a better place than we found it. Sadly we live in a world that likes to celebrate selfishness, greed and violence. I want to live in a world that is ruled by compassion and kindness, and one that doesn’t enable those who intentionally create suffering and harm to others for their own gain.
