Live the life your soul wants

1:Life purpose

There is no one sole purpose to life purpose.

Purpose in life is the reason we are here. While what we are drawn to do in life largely creates what we have become, our purpose is about what we came here to experience, learn and understand.

We live in a world where many people are unhappy with their lives. They focus on getting the dream job, and wage package to go with it, a partner and children if they can squeeze them in, and all things materialistic.

Life purpose isn’t part of our education system or upbringing, so many people end up living a life that society dictates or ones their families prescribe for the illusion of success, comfort and security.

Many have glamours about what their life purpose is, so they don’t see they are already living many aspects of their purpose. They then begin to search outside themselves for answers, rather than source their own inner wisdom. One would have to be resisting all opportunities, and everything in front of them to not be living with purpose.

Discovering life purpose is a work in progress. It requires one to get out of the way of themselves, and work through the false perceptions they have about, who they think they are and what they are capable of. Our challenges help to build inner strength, and wisdom is gained by what we overcome.

It’s like taking a journey with some direction on the path to start with, and as one grows through recognizing any false self-perceptions, that prevent them from reaching their potential, the soul illuminates the path with more clarity about the next steps to take.

When we know ourselves it’s easier to decide what is best for us, rather than allowing others to decide that for us. Knowing ourselves can also make it easier when making major life decisions for career paths, relationships, or where to live and work.

We are all unique and have specific lessons unlike anyone else to learn for our growth which is why limitations, hardship, loss, challenge and heartbreak are the very heart of life purpose. It is through these experiences we are given opportunities to discover our true essence. How well we do this depends on how much we overcome.

Opportunities for purpose are always there every day. If we are more conscious of that, there is always something to be seen that is purpose. The rest is a future unknown and not important. What we create today is creating a future path. It can change at any time as we change.

View purpose in life as many purposes that are a work in progress. It’s all about discovery!

Some ways to embrace purpose are:

  1. a.Meditation - connect to the inner wisdom.
  2. b.Contemplation - offer up questions.
  3. c.Compassion - be kind to yourself and others.
  4. d.Self-awareness - understand your thought and feelings.
  5. e.Change - do things you’ve never done before.
  6. f.Connect - Seek out likeminded people.
  7. g.Compassion - Be kind to yourself and others.
  8. h.Purpose - enjoy your journey, it is uniquely yours.
